I took this photo because the sunset was so beautiful. The way that the light shone on the tree really brought to light just how powerful nature truly is, with the tree feeling like it creates a protective covering over the man-made vehicles.
This next photo caught my interest because the lights next to the dumpster were lighting a certain portion of the trash. So, I thought to myself, why is that trash special? Did it help some person enjoying back to school pride to feel more at

This last photo I felt captured the sick feeling one feels after eating a big, greasy burger. All that's left behind is the excess vegetables and sauces stuck to the wrapper. I really like the colors in this shot and I agree that the combination of the tree and the intense sunset are impactful. One thing that would be interesting to try could be taking this photo with a more shallow depth of field so that the cars in the foreground are less powerful thief's of our attention.
This photo is cool because it's a dumpster and because the overhead light feels so starkly artificial. Theses elements lend themselves to the creation of a clear point of emphasis. One note is that dropping the shadows in post could help accentuate our spotlight effect on the trash.
I like the idea behind this photo and can relate to the emotion you've described.…
Ward! These photos are so thoughtful, I love it! The first one is absolutely breathtaking. I love the composition of the cars and how delicately the light is spilling from behind the tree. If I were to be nit-picky and give you one note, I would say arrange the ground line in a way that lies on the bottom third, but other than that excellent job! For the second one, I love how you notice things that not everyone would give a second glance. I think the quality and composition of this photo could be improved, but I love the message. For the third one, I love the idea behind it and how the soda stands out as the focus…
